| sometimes, i feel like life catches me totally off guard and the whole thing leaves me feeling like i got the wind knocked out of me...

| So, as part of my morning routine I've gotten into the habit of
skimming articles posted on the basic news sites and came across this
article.
http://www.cnn.com/2008/LIVING/personal/04/04/facebook.love/index.html
Now don't get me wrong, people are more than welcome to post their
relationship status on facebook if it pleases them, but "for many
college students, a new relationship isn't real until it's on facebook"
- come on, seriously? Call me old fashioned or traditional or whatever,
but if someone wants to start a relationship, wouldn't you rather have
them talk to you about it instead of sending you a confirmation
message? Hello romance for the technology age, goodbye actual human
interaction and communication.
I understand that the article addresses other points, it's just the
fact that some people have fixated on having the internet be their
means for all important communication that has left me a bit speechless.

| sometimes, others' extreme generosity totally catches me off guard and makes think "whoa...."

| When creating an exam, let me just say that trick questions and double negatives do not actually test the student's knowledge of the information. It just tests their ability to interpret the question.
......I can't believe I was actually an English major.
EDIT: apparently, i actually can interpret those questions after all. i passed! i am officially done with exams!

| Another day has almost come and gone Can’t imagine what else could wrong Sometimes I’d like to hide away somewhere and lock the door A single battle lost but not the war (‘cause)
Tomorrow’s another day And I’m thirsty anyway So, bring on the rain
It’s almost like the hard times circle ‘round A couple drops and they all start coming down Yeah, I might feel defeated, I might hang my head I might be barely breathing - but I’m not dead
Tomorrow’s another day And I’m thirsty anyway So, bring on the rain
